The Eternal Garden (oureternalgarden.com) is a hobby project run by Andras Gergely Csenteri, a private individual in Romania, who is responsible for your personal data (the "controller"). For anything about your data, write to hello@oureternalgarden.com.
We use your data to create and show your garden, to take payment, to email you your garden code when you buy and when you ask us to resend it, to answer your messages, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, and to keep records of purchases and of what you agreed to. We may do this because it is necessary to provide the garden you bought, because the law requires us to keep payment records, and because we have a legitimate interest in running the service securely and in being able to show what you agreed to. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Stripe takes payments, Supabase stores our database, Vercel hosts the website and Resend sends our emails. They handle your data only to do that work for us. Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. The payment page itself is hosted by Stripe and is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Your browser's local storage keeps your garden code, a saved copy of your garden, and your weather and tilt preferences, so you stay signed in on that device. Clearing your browser data removes them. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
We keep your data for as long as your garden exists. If you ask us to delete it, we delete your garden and the email addresses linked to it. If we close the service, we delete everything when it closes (see our terms). We may keep the record of your payment, and of your acceptance of our terms, for as long as accounting or tax rules require or while a claim could still be made.
You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, or to send you a copy, and you can object to how we use it. Just write to hello@oureternalgarden.com. If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority. In Romania that is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
The Eternal Garden is not meant for anyone under 18.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
